Creating a spot is simple and completely free. All you have to do is click on the button to submit a new spot and enter the spot information. We'll ask you to enter the email address of the target, other email addresses you want to notify, some tags, and the text of the spot. You also have to check that you accept the conditions of the service.
You don’t have to identify yourself or login. In fact, one of the rules is that you have to remain anonymous. Moreover, we will not keep any information about your connection that could link you to the spots you submit.
Submitting a spot is not only about getting your strong opinions and feelings off your chest, but also about letting people know about them. Both the target of the spot and the general public should be told about it. With that purpose, you should do your best to provide at least one email address of the target. When that email is available, we will notify the target about the spot and will give him or her the opportunity to reply. Spots for which the target has been able to answer will rank higher than others.
You should also help to identify the target by tagging it appropriately. For example, let’s say that you are submitting a spot for somebody called John Smith. This guy is originally from New York and studies business administration at Ohio State University. You will help to tell that person apart by adding tags like New York, OSU, Business Administration.

You can also provide, in the "CC Emails" field, the email addresses of other parties you want to notify immediately.
Once you have submitted your new spot, the confirmation page will present a tracking code. You should WRITE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY, as it is the only way you have to find out if the spot was rejected and why, or to cancel it.
We will review your submitted spot within one day and, if approved, we’ll publish it. You can come back to spottiness.com to find out what the status of your newly submitted spot is. If it was rejected, the status page will also tell you the reason for the rejection. At that moment you can create a new spot by copying the rejected one and modify it to comply with the rules.
